We’ve come along way since the idea of WOMENA first began to emerge 18 months ago and it’s been an incredible journey. It’s a journey that’s only going to get better though and we are very excited to see what the future holds.

We welcome you to our blog today. We launched it for many reasons. First, we want to empower angel investors and entrepreneurs in the Middle East. As the investor and entrepreneurship ecosystems in the Middle East are still in their infancy, education is critical to its development. We hope this blog will be educational and informative for anyone who reads it – whether you’re completely new to angel investing, an entrepreneur or a seasoned professional.

Second, we want to highlight our portfolio companies and the great work they’re doing. We’ve only been around for a short time but already we’ve seen some excellent companies emerging from the Middle East that can compete at a global level.

Third, we want to show you the highlights of WOMENA’s events. The next couple of months are going to be very busy with more member meetings, our public launch and more sponsor and partner events. Expect pictures and maybe a few videos along the way!

But most importantly, thank you for your continued support. We’ve been blown away with the people we’ve been fortunate enough to meet since setting up WOMENA and the support they’ve given us. Thank you.
